Our Story at Navarre Beach Camping Resort

Northwest Florida’s best-kept vacation secret blends timeless vintage Florida charm with full-service Southern hospitality on a raised beach along Santa Rosa Sound. Guests come here for water views, a 300-ft fishing pier, easygoing days, and a resort that feels warm, well-run, and genuinely welcoming from the moment they arrive.

Where We’re Planted

Where We’re Planted

We sit on the quieter Sound side of Navarre, where the water feels calmer and the pace does too. Our raised beach faces Santa Rosa Sound and gives guests a relaxed waterfront setting with a swing, lounge chairs, and easy access to the pier. The Gulf beaches are just a short drive away, Pensacola is close to the west, and Destin is about thirty minutes to the east—so the resort works beautifully as both a stay-put escape and a laid-back basecamp.

How We Host

How We Host

The goal is simple: make every stay feel easy. That means a gated resort, clean and cared-for spaces, planned events every weekend, and gathering spaces that feel social without turning loud. Guests should feel like they can join in when they want to and slow down when they do not.

What that looks like on property

  • Clean, cared-for spaces
  • Planned events every weekend
  • Kids’ and adult crafts woven into the activity mix
  • A casual Patio beside the ice-cream parlor
  • A clubhouse and meeting hall for shared time
  • Open-network Wi-Fi across the resort
  • Short walks between stay types and amenities

Clear expectations make better stays

This is a warm, social, easygoing resort—but it is not built around noise or late-night party energy. Clear expectations help protect the experience for snowbirds, families, pet travelers, first-time campers, and guests who come here specifically because the atmosphere feels calmer and better cared for.

A place like this is shaped by more than the shoreline. It is also shaped by the people who care for it every day. Today, that welcome is led by Teresa.

Meet Our Park Manager

A woman with long blonde hair smiles at the camera in front of a wooden fence by the water during sunset. Trees and clouds are visible in the background.Born and raised in Iowa, Teresa’s roots run deep in the Midwest. She spent more than three decades building her path in Kansas City, where her background in customer service and hospitality management helped shape the guest-first approach she brings to Navarre Beach Camping Resort today.

Her professional journey has taken several meaningful turns. Teresa served in hospitality leadership roles, then spent eight years owning and operating a successful diesel repair company with her husband, Sam. When retirement began calling, the two took a well-earned break—but a visit to Basswood Resort near Kansas City opened the door to something new. Teresa joined the campground world as a receptionist and housekeeper, quickly discovered a true passion for outdoor hospitality, and soon grew into leadership. From there, she went on to manage an IVEE resort in Texas before becoming General Manager at Navarre Beach Camping Resort.

Family has always been at the heart of Teresa’s story. She and Sam have raised seven children—three biological and four adopted—and also became foster parents to four siblings so they could remain together. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys shopping trips, salon days, movie dates, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Now in her second summer in beautiful Navarre, she has been busy making thoughtful improvements around the resort and helping guests feel right at home. Be sure to say hello when you see her in the park.
